DAISY SOFA
Frame: Pine
Upholstery: Linen, and Voile
We were thinking about a space to stretch out, rest, read, or sleep. An sanctuary big enough to share. We knew we wanted the sofa frame to be a non-distracting vessel for something more special, so we built a minimal pine “shell”.
Crafted by the hands and imagination of Tessa Bandouveris, over 5,000 petals were cut and stitched together to engulf the seat with daises.
Entering at the upstairs level, the visitor descends into the belly of the home. We created this object to be a crown jewel of this built-into-the-mountain laurel canyon home. Surrounded by pine, linen, and voile, the sitter dreams, reads, and chats over countless creme daisies.
